Continuous Dewatering Press is used to remove water from liquid waste water residuals and produced a non-liquid materials referred as “cake”. Continuous Dewatering Press is divided into three zones: (a) Gravity zone, where free dewatering water is drained by gravity through a porous belt. (b) Wedge zone, where the solids are prepared for pressure application. (c) Pressure Zone, where medium than high pressure is applied to the conditions solids.
The CDP can work with sludge of 1 to 4 % feed solids.
The output sludge is 20 to 30% cake solids.
